Sorry, not been able to do anything on this the last few days, had other stuff to deal with.

It was the pressing >> bit I didn't know about so thanks for that info. Channel Organiser is running just now.

Will report back once it's done.

Cheers, Mike....

AFAICT the following TAPs are missing: AbCpDeFmPeSlTe
However, earlier on I went through that list using the resources given above and downloaded those patches. Used TopManager to place them all into ProgramFiles/Auto Start

I then rebooted my Toppy but something seems to be amiss. The above file was generated after I did that and it's still saying they're not there and series search still doesn't work.

Can any one see what has happened here or what I've done wrong?

They're patches, not Taps - someone who uses the MyStuff installer will need to explain what to do.

"They're patches, not Taps"

Ah. That might explain something! Thanks for the clarification.

I'll see if I can find anything in the mean time and as you say hopefully some one can chime in here to explain how to install patches incase I can't find the info I need.

Cheers, Mike...

Okay, I tracked down some info, I have installed the HDFW TAP and have been able to install the patches I was missing.

When I did that and generated new MyInfo log info there was a new list of patches missing. I installed all of them except for a couple which I don't think are necessary? Font manager, surely I don't need that?

Any way, here is my new MyInfo log file contents.

I still have the series search problem. No CRID data. Or will that come down off air in due course?

I'll try and create a series search again in an hour or so and see if it's started working.

Thanks every one who's helped with this. I'm very nearly there!

Yay!

Series search /seems/ to be working. Won't know for sure 'till tomorrow but it's all looking good.

Thanks every one who helped.

Stuff (especially when it's software related, at least with hardware you know where you are) not doing what it's supposed to really winds me up. It was so frustrating.

Any way, seems to be good, thanks again.

Retuned 7th september and have 'Red Button' CH 1 and 2

Post by csjjpm »

I've just retuned my Toppy and I have additional 'Red Button' channel 1, channel 2 as well as 3 CH10, CH16 and CH17.
I expect I will have to factory reset and lose my recording list.

A factory reset got rid of those other rubbish channels.

It would seem my toppy hasn't been recording all the episodes of 'The Killing' on BBC4 anyway. F*********** heck!

I am recording the complete rerun of The Killing to watch again after the US version finishes and before Series 2 starts later this year. So if you get stuck I can copy them to you - probably best via a file-sharing site?

Hi Gomezz. TopTapper has volunteered already so thank you for the offer that is really generous of you. If TopTapper has any difficulty getting them on DVD then I may come back to you.

I am watching the US version atm. I watched the first ep of the Danish one but missed the second ep. Want to watch it this time.

Is the 2nd series US or Danish?

The 2nd Danish series is due to be shown later this year. There a plans for a 2nd US series. Currently catching up on the first two series of the original Swedish Wallendar and have Spiral saved too to watch later as I can only cope with one subtitled series at a time.

Yeah know what you mean. I bought the Spiral DVD of first 2 series as I've not seen 2nd one yet.

Save them for later in autumn.

Hi,
I rebuilt this Toppy again & put MS 6.4 on it but after about two weeks it formatted the disk again exactly as before.

Not sure what to do next, never seen this problem on my other two toppies.
I am wondering if I should buy it a new hard disk & see if that makes it better.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,

You could try swapping HDDs between your Toppies to see if the fault goes with the HDD or stays with the Toppy. The danger of this is that you may lose your recordings on the other HDD.
