Picture instability

Post by Devaprem »

Hello.

The picture output on my TF5800 has just started flickering. The effect is similar to losing horizontal lock intermittently. This happens on recordings and viewing the off-air output through the PVR. I replaced some of the PSU capacitors in 2011 and I'm wondering if these need replacing again.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks, David

First try swapping the scart cable, assuming you are using that for TV.

That will depend on which capacitors were replaced and with what type.

It's also likely that the remaining capacitors will have started to fail by now.
Toppy PSU repair service or capacitor kits for DIY available - PM me for details.
