No signal at tuner 2

Post by clive59 »

I have purchased an ex-demo TF5800 to replace the knackered one. I have set the machine up in same way as the old one.

Loop cable RF LOOP 1 OUT to Ant 2

Scart cable from main Scart socket to TV Scart socket

Ariel into Ant 1

Message 'No Signal at Tuner 2' keeps coming up.

Any idea what could be causing this? Maybe a Scart cable problem? If I wasn't using Scart to connect to the TV what should I use? I've looked in my User Guise but it's as clear as mud (well, to me it is)
Thanks for any advice.

It won't be the scart cable.

Try feeding tuner 2 from the aerial, and looping back to tuner 1.

If you get "No signal Tuner 1", then it's the loop cable.

Thanks, but can you describe what goes where? I am completely clueless about this thing!

Put the aerial cable into ANT2 and then the loopback cable between RF loop2 out and ANT1in ( original aerial in).

Then as CCS says If you get "No signal Tuner 1", then it's the loop cable.
