Assuming your signature is correct, you need to load put both MyStuff.tap and Extend.tap into "\ProgramFiles\Auto Start\" (note the space).
When you have done that, in TopManager do
1) Tools| Check MyStuff

This will tell you if anything needs fixing (please paste the output). The most likely "error" is that QuickJump.tap is loading after MyStuff.tap and it needs to precede it. If this is the case
2) PccControl| Tap Commander (after Show Menus)
3) Reorder taps
4) Click on the arrows to move QJ above MyStuff (I suggest you put it 2nd or 3rd in the list)
5) OK
6) Reboot the toppy, wait 2 minutes
7) Display| MyInfo Log (cut and paste into thread; we can then comment on it)

Assuming EPG2MEI is already in Auto Start, you don't need to wait 30 minutes before you use it.

Note: you won't damage your toppy so doing it will be quicker than us answering your queries about installing it!

Don't bother deleting the existing timers; MS will still honor them (but I can't remember if it will add padding to them).

As you are in the habit of setting up timers each week from the EPG, just continue as before but select Power Search when you press the record button. These new timers will have the padding set and you won't have to set further timers for these programmes as you will already have set a Power Search ti pick them up.

Note: You may have to set L10=IfData to get it to offer a PowerSearch but don't worry about that for now; just try it.

I'd stick with what you currently do if that's the case.

cawright1 you don't need to delete all your timers. As Geoff says MyStuff will honour them.

If all you do is set 'One Time' timers via the EPG and don't do anything more complicated. Then Mystuff will call these 'one-off' timers and will add the default padding to them if it can.

You can then turn these timers in to MyStuff searches if you want to keep on recording that program. But to start with you don't need to use them. Just set one-off timers via the MyStuff EPG as you do now.

Ok, I've tried this out, and MyStuff does show existing native timers in the epg, so all you need to do is change them to MyStuff searches, as and when you choose to.
It doesn't need to be done immediately.

I'm pretty sure it won't. It creates native timers with the padding already added, and adjusts/removes the padding when necessary (according to your chosen MyStuff settings).

MyStuff doesn't "honour" native timers - it's the other way around. MyStuff creates native timers itself, and the firmware honours the MyStuff timers when recording time comes around.

But if you're manually setting timers each week, it'll only take a week to clear the old native ones before you can start setting PSes or SSes in MyStuff, and can forget about having to ever set them again.

What Geoff was saying is that cawright1 does not need to delete the native timers created outside of MyStuff. MyStuff will 'honour' them, in that it will recognise them and display them in the timer lists and the epg.

It seems that when MyStuff first sees these manually created native timers it 'converts' them to 'One-Off' timers internally. From what I have tried it looks like MyStuff will also add default padding to them as it adds them to its internal list. Is is likely that cawright1 only creates 'One Time' timers manually but it appears that MyStuff may even copes with 'Daily' and 'Weekly' timers. But it would probably be wise to only set 'One Time' timers manually.

... I had tried out "daily" timers, and MyStuff only shows the first one in the epg, as does the native timer list.
I'd expect the next days timer to show when todays timer actually starts recording (in the native timer list at least, and MyStuff after a reboot).

I think it only generates the next daily timer when the current one has finished recording.
