Top Manager My Info error

Post by satski »

I am using a Topfield TF5010 and I am getting an erro with "My Info" TIme setting Problem Warning where the Time Offset in incorrectly set.
It says that both the Time Mode and and the Time Offset should be at "Auto"
The Log says that the "Time Mode set to Auto, Time Offset set to Manual"

I do not have an option to set the Time Offset to Auto. Is there an .ini setting that can be adjusted to ignore the 2nd rule?
It is also saying that there are many channel duplicates which I believe that a rescan would remedy this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Phil

I'm away at the moment so working from memory.

I believe you can set the time offset from the toppy native menu (Menu key, probably in System Settings).

You should also be able to change it using the Pccontrol menu item (but you might need to use Tools| Install file| PcControl, followed by a toppy reboot, first)

Duplicate channels usually means that you have performed a channel scan without first doing a reset and/or you haven't restricted the scan to a specific transmitter. I strongly recommend that you only ever use Topmanager| Pccontrol| Channel Management or the ChannelOrganiser tap to retune. Both these methods do everything for you and also remember which channels to remove on a subsequent retune (they share the same data files so can be used interchangably)

AFIK Top Manager is only for the 5800/5810, perhaps 5010 is a typo by "satski" and he meant 5810 ?

Thanks for the replies. I will remove Top Manager as it will not work with the TF5010. It connect to the 5010 which is interesting though!
PC Control, Channel Organiser or Channel Management do not seem to work either.
The only channel organiser I can get to work (of sorts) is the Vega v2.32, FTP using Filezilla, and Altair.
When trying to update some of the rather old sateliite settings and Transponders using the Vega software, I can download the data from the 5010 to a laptop, and upload updated lists back to the 5010. However, a large amount of data is now out of date and needs updating/deleting.
After loading new satellite and transponder details and a reboot or two, the list reverts back to the original outdated list.
Very frustrating. Is Vega v2.32 the only editor available to do this and is there part of the procedure that is not working - or perhaps it's me that's not working!! Again any help/suggestions would be grateful..

@satski

This forum is primarily for TF5800 znd TF5810s so I think it is highly unlikely that anyone on the forum will be able to help you.

I suggest you google "Tf5010 forum" and choose a european one (possibly australian)

Sorry I can't help further
