If FastScanGUI has been used to limit the scan, this will be remembered until a factory reset (or 2) has been performed. A factory reset will not affect recordings, but timers will need to be renewed if not using MyStuff.

Hello All,

OK I followed the link to the Channel organiser (not the one on the main toppy page as before). I chose hannington and the scan has now given me the extra MUX and the ITV2+1 channel! It did crash on me but seems OK....

You probably have not installed the TvTxData.tsv file in /ProgramFiles/Settings - wit that Hannington should be listed (along with 30+ others).

Except that the FastScanGUI TAP was a successor to the FastScan TAP, both of which deliberately and explicitly change something (I don't recall the technical details) to restrict subsequent native scans to the same channels that you chose when you did a restricted one using the TAP.

IIRC, to "fix" this, you have to Factory reset, reboot and Factory reset again. Or something like that.

Channel Organiser & TopManager do much the same thing, but reset the search parameters afterwards so only a single Factory Reset is needed to sort things out if you want to do a manual scan afterwards. Unfortunately the need for those Factory Resets rather nullifies the point of those single channel scan afterwards!

Channel Organiser and TopManager should also sort out the FastScan(Gui) legacy settings without needing a manual Factory Reset, which of course affects various settings other than the channels, which can be a pain.
