Viva music channel

Post by Andy K »

What's going on with this channel ? I've noticed it missing from my toppy for a while.

I've looked on the TV and found it on a higher number however it had a message this it broadcasts after 9am ?

Does anyone have the CH number so I can manually tune my toppy in please ?

Thanks.

I also notice we have Channel 5+24 now

You can't tune in an individual channel; the smallest denomination you can tune is a mux (several channels). We can't give the number because this varies based on which transmitter you use.

You can look in your MyInfo log and determine which mux you need to scan by comparing the muxes against those broadcast by the transmitter you use. Even then, you might not be able to scan for it if you used FastScanGUI (or my modified version), TopManager and/or ChannelOrganiser. This is because these mechanism tend to leave the toppy restricted to the muxes specified when the program/tap last ran.

Why don't you just do a full rescan using TopManager (if you have a windows pc) or using the ChannelOrganiser tap (version B2.something). These allow you to specify the transmitter and remember which channels you have deleted for use in future scans (at 3500 posts I'm teaching you to suck eggs but perhaps you are having a senior moment?)

Viva is on LCN 74 and time shares with Spike. When Spike launched back in April Viva's hours were reduced to 9:00-11:00. Dont be too surprised if Viva disappears from Freeview at some point.

Thanks for replies.

If it's only on till 11am there isn't much point in having it tuned in.

Thanks for info.

Well it hasn't gone from Freeview (yet), but it has now gone from the Toppy.
