What's this then?

Anybody know what the symbol at the far right of the display means?
The symbol looks like two old PCs getting it on.

The unit is a Topfield TF5000 Masterpiece.

It's only just started appearing and the menus become very slow when it's there. The unit's response to the remote seems slow as well. It doesn't seem to affect playback or recording speed though. Sometimes, after a couple of hours or so, it goes away and everything returns to normal.

I've looked through the manual, but there's no description of the display in it.

On a TF5810, that symbol appears during data transfer, indicating active communication with another computer, e.g. via a USB cable.

Thanks Harry :D

I've had a USB cable attached to that toppy for years, to allow easy access for my laptop. Haven't used it for ages. Just unplugged it and the problem's gone away.
