We'll take Rolf, but you can keep Sir Les Patterson - how's that?

I'm Hawke's Bay born and bred, but lived in Auckland (Mt Eden mostly) for a decade or thereabouts, before heading to greener (or - let's face it - dustier) pastures, OZside.

I also like camping out on dtv and Toppy forums. :D

+1 to migrating the old forum contents, if that can be done. Lots of great knowledge in there.

Given that there is quite a lot of stuff starting to accumulate here, I wonder if it is possible to have some sub-forums for 5000, 7000 and 2400 series machines so we can separate the posts? Is that possible at all?

I've asked for that before. Perhpa send a PM to Nigel, the more requests the more likely it's to happen. I know that discussions are still taking place wrt Topfield resurrecting their website, but many feel that we don't want to get caught again by Topfield pulling the chain on it.

Nigel's said that when he gets round to tackling the huge task of upgrading to phpBB v3 then he may consider some other changes, too.

Cool - after posting I looked around and saw none of the other areas had subdivisions, so I figured it was a limitation of the server. Not a biggy - just a nice to have.

I guess that whilst we are waiting for Nigel to upgrade to the new Forum software, we could ask hin to create three Oz Toppies threads, i.e.

Oz Toppies 2400
Oz Toppies 5000 (this would cover all flavours of the 5000 series inc the SD MP etc and archived material from the old Toppy Forum)
Oz Toppies 7x00

The current content of the Oz Toppies thread is mainly 2400 stuff and would need only a bit of sorting out at this point in time. I would be glad to help sorting it out if that helps. The job would be much easier if we start sorting it out now, rather than later.
Cheers,
Phil

I disagree Phil. OZ Toppies covers all sorts of OZ chatter so one section is better than the three model specific sections you have suggested.
Cheers Simon
