Just wanna say lads n lasses that since I recently patched to the firmware in signature, I've had NO PROBLEMS, not even worried about tempting fate here either...

Thank you for above all providing reliability and stability; have been a happy customer for over 3 years now and credit where it's due to all developers :D

I am about to patch the 5.13.65 firmware and have some brief questions:

1. Is there any point in patching SI onto this firmware?

2. Is there any point in patching Te onto this firmware (given that i will also be patching it with Ce) ?

3. Regardless of whether SI and Te are incompatible with the Description Extender TAP, are they incompatible with the DE PATCH?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

1. [Sl] Handy for futureproofing, but unnecessary unless you're using the Series Link TAP.
2. [Te] Hasn't hurt me...
3. [De] will be happy with all these other patches.

Am I missing something with the Re patch? Should it do the same thing as the remote extender tap?

When I use the tap, I can use my mute button to fire up UK subtitle. When I use the patch, the mute button just mutes.

I think you'll need to update UK Subs to the latest version before it will notice the patch.

possible conflict

Post by helpmaboab »

Hi
I have recently updated to the patched firmware "TF5800 5.13.65 NITfix" Can anyone list the patches to this firmware and do I still need the tap - mcgCYRResume (1.0)? As when I am timeshifting my tv starts to dance like my dad at a disco, when I go live?
I did have a skulk round for a list of patches with the firmware but could not locate them. (would also HDFW tell me if I loaded it, suppose it should) :?: thanks
C'mon the bears

You DEFINITELY don't need mcgCYRresume. As for patches, look here. That link is in the appropriate thread in the Firmware forum.

I *think* NITfix only has the one patch. Nf. (or N something)

You don't need mcgCYRresume, but it would be best to add Xp and Xw patches among others.

If mcgCYRresume is causing problems, it would show a green/red or white circle in the top left.
