Can't log in to your account? Read this

If you can't log in to your account, here are some handy tips:

1) Have you activated your account? You should receive an email when you register, with a link to click, which will activate your account. If you change the email address for your account, you will have to re-activate it, and you should receive an email with a link at the new address.

2) If you never received an email, check your spam folder, and please add admin @ toppy.org.uk to your spam filter

3) If you still can't find an activation link, then you may appear to be outside the EU, and not in Australia, according to our database. In this case, your account has to be approved by the admins - email admin @ toppy.org.uk and ask nicely. If we're busy, or your account looks like a disposable spam email, then we might not have done it already.

4) Do you know your password? If you've forgotten it, go to http://forum.toppy.org.uk/forum/login.php and use the link on that page to request a new one. Don't email the admins, unless this fails - because we can't tell you what your existing password is

5) If your account isn't recognised, it might have been deleted. This has been done to accounts that are very old and have never been activated. If you previously registered, to get access to firmware downloads, but never posted in the forum, you might have forgotten to activate your account, and so it could have been deleted.

If you do have problems, email admin @ toppy.org.uk - and remember to give both your forum name and the email address you used when registering.

Nigel.

A follow up to point 5; we have added a note to the registration pages to the effect that you should activate your account within 90 days.

It won't necessarily be deleted after 90 days if you have not registered, but it is likely to be included in a periodic purge of undeleted accounts at some stage. When your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to sign in to the Your Tools section of the site, either.
