I tried bypassing the booster but I was then missing three muxs. I also tried using a passive splitter into the two tuners but the quality went down to about 91 on some channels. I installed Timemon as suggested and the recording I set last night worked OK. I will continue testing and if I get another problem, I'll check the Timemon log. Thanks for all your help. So you're getting the same symtoms as described in earlier posts (four flashing dots when trying to put the machine into standby, only ever displays the time on the front panel, never the channel number "P001" etc. and also doesn't go through the "C4.56" and "run" stat...

I used another cable and it has cured the problem even though there seems to be no change in signal level. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am a new owner and I live in a marginal signal area so I have a very high gain aerial and a booster. If both tuners are on Mux2 then the ITV channels are OK. If I change one of the tuners to another Mux the ITV channels break up. I'm guessing that it must be down to crosstalk between the tuners wh...
