I suggest you use CO for now while I work out why TM inserted the Excludes lines. This will probably require a new version of TM which I can't quickly provide because I'm halfway through trying to modify it for something else. There is no need to rescan after using GCBMyStuffInstaller (unless you ha...

The Excludes in your pasted EPG2MEI.ini are telling EPG2MEI to ignore any data for those channels. Consequentially, the EPG never gets any data written to it. Editing the file has removed these excludes so you should now get EPG info. Do you have the latest Freeview.dat file ? (you might not if you ...

If EPG2MEI is empty then that is why MyStuff is only showing a native EPG. Please post your \ProgramFiles\Settings\EPG2MEI.ini file. After posting, edit the file and replace it's contents with # File updated by Channel Organiser B2.1 on 27/12/2020 at 19:58 [Control] Output=EP...

The number of channels shouldn't matter. You don't need to be so drastic on channel pruning as PruneEPG (provide by the MS installer) discards unwanted data. I have getting on for about 100 channels on my system. Suggest you look in \ProgramFiles\ Check that EPG.mei exists, has todays date and is a ...

Should you decide to reformat the disk, use the TM Snapshots Take mechanism first to copy the current ProgramFiles directory to the PC. This provides a means of selectively restoring files after the reformat (i.e. some of the MS data files/backups). Note: you can probably recover your Searches manua...

Have you tried disconnecting the power for 2 minutes to give the box a hard reset?

Your fsCheck log shows that the disk is physically sound and that the file system isn't corrupted. Your MyInfo log shows that the taps are running as expected. It also shows that you have very few channels configured (was this by choice?) So, it looks as though it is a software error (running GCBMyS...

@fhjones

The log shows that the disk is physically ok and that the file system is not corrupted (I wondered if there was a circular FAT reference which was causing MS to loop round indefinitely but that is apparently not the case).

Sounds like you've had a disk corruption. Try running \ProgramFiles\Utilities\fsCheck to see what it says. If it doesn't say the disk is badly corrupted, you can save the log to a file and use TM Display to collect it. Please post in the fsCheck Reports thread (normally, I don't recommend writing fi...

Up until now, I have managed Freeview.dat and Freeview(Scotland).dat as two separate files. After changing Freeview.dat, I had to apply the same changes to the Scottish version - a real pain because there is so much information on each line making it difficult to find the required fields and eyeball...

@BobD Thanks for the explanation about the Nag. Strange that I've never seen it. My toppy shuts down overnight so the nag "24 hours after the last nag" wouldn't ever occur but I would have expected to receive the first nag. Should you ever get around to doing some more work on it, I'd like...

@jimi That's because you are using TopManager to do the tuning; TM adapts to what it discovers whereas CO checks that the fields are exactly as stated in the Freeview.dat file (I remember that EMJB didn't agree that my method was correct!). When changing the files, I use the CO output to identify th...

@BobD Thanks for responding and nice to hear from you again. Just a bit strange that I'm not seeing the message as I use the toppy for nearly everything. It's obviously not a show stopper but it would be nice to remove it if you ever get time e.g. in a lockdown and you've run out of jigsaws! Merry C...

I don't see it here

This might be possibly because I don't shut down after the 07:00 EPG Scan (perhaps you only get the message within a certain number of minutes after startup?)

I've emailed BobD but no response yet.

The wininet error implies that something on the laptop can't connect to the internet - can you access web pages using Chrome or similar? I don't recognise what program you are using to have a "yes" for channelorganiser. CO is a tap that only runs on the toppy (and cannot access the interne...
