UPDATE ...

And doh!

I find switching OFF/ON the TV restores the sound.

Must be a compatibility niggle with this particular TV model (see other niggle here)

[edit]Rereading you post, I see that the channels on mux 29 are ones that come under the "pay, porn, shopping etc" category. However, it is still likely that you are receiving from more than one transmitter so you ought to do a rescan to correct the situation. [/edit] Geoff 791 and 792 ar...

Ok thanks all.

I'll move Tap Commander away from AutoStart.

I'll further clean up the Channels (using Channel Organizer - which I'm quite familiar with) although I had many more channels, infact all of them except the porn ones with MyStuff 6.4 for ages and never encountered a problem.

@mrmos That all looks fine apart from the \Settings folder which is probably the result of a minor file corruption (though if it only contains a single file then it may be the result of finger trouble e.g. copying something like MyInfo.ini). Assuming the toppy is running OK, I suggest you delete it...

Please post your MyInfo log; this will show your configuration. You can try running my fsCheck tap (download from www.GeeCeeBee.co.uk ). This will tell you whether or not the file system is corrupted and also show the hardware SMART statistics for the drive. Please post the it's in the fsCheck Repo...

Re: Another C457 Loading Run loop problem

I have 2 5810's, and love every aspect of their usability, but some time back I made the mistake of allowing the disk to become full on one of them, and forgot there was a programme scheduled to record. I came home to find it locked up, and on reboot it came back with the dreaded loop. Since upgrad...

" The search would be invalid by the time the next series starts. It wouldn't work anyway. Each new series will get a new Series CRID, so an SS for the old CRID wouldn't match it. To achieve what you want, you need a Power Search - the Text bit of the search will find "Top Gear", and...

A few of the keys on my remote were unresponsive and the Camera LED test confirmed this. The main culprits were the UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT buttons surrounding and including the OK button. The ARCHIVE key was also sluggish which was a pain as this is most used with MyStuff recordings. I opened the remote...

My guess will be you have the TV connected in to the wrong scart, as the volume control only has an effect on one of them. Having said that I don?t think you would get the bar running up and down as it also only gives graphics over one scart. But I would have a look anyway. In case anyone's interes...

Excuse my ignorance.

Where can I find a zip file for the IBL files on your website Andre?

There is one for the GIFs but none for the IBLs, only individual files.

I'm using Filer as the main TAP on my 5800.

Julie, it's the button that cycles Video Resolution. My TV only works at 576 and 720p.

Does anyone else have this symptom?

5810 Disable Video Resolution button on Remote

I would like to ask if any TAP does this. The 5810 is connected to my TV via HDMI and the TV goes blank and no sound whenever the Video Resolution is set other than 576p and 720p. I would like to disable this for the sake of my very young kids as they've inadvertently pressed this button once or twi...

Thanks Andy, I don't have that problem using Scart and don't have another TV with HDMI so I guess I'll just suck it and see. One for your database though.
