I abandoned the Toppy for a Miraclebox years ago, but I still look in here almost every day

I gave up my Toppy years ago but I still look in here every day. I'd like to add my thanks to Nigel for making it all possible for so long. Nigel should do whatever works best for him. Whether a 'Toppy-lite' site continues or whether it now closes with honour, Nigel's place in the Toppy Pantheon is ...

My Toppy packed up a couple of years ago yet I still hang out here. Maybe it can morph into a Miraclebox and fellower traveller site? I donated my Toppy to Andy for the Forum a while back and also still lurk here. After an unsatisfactory Humax phase, I've now got a Miraclebox which works well, thou...

It is more that I have been creating logos since andrec left us. Not left entirely  . I still visit here most days, and I'm delighted to see that gramps has kept the show on the road - congratulations! My site at www.andrec.org.uk has been frozen since last July and carries a health warning t...

I see that has the transparent part too. A pity that the one which was used last time Film4+1 existed (it did, didn't it?) ins't still around. I've put up my previous one: http://www.andrec.org.uk/GIFs/Film41.gif I haven't updated the table of logos. Here's the corresponding ibl: www.andrec.org.uk/...

Hmm ... I tried uploading it to File Dropper as a ZIP. I don't think it's that which is making the difference, but http://www.filedropper.com/thelittleprinceat70_2 is currently working for me in Firefox but not in IE.

Good luck!

I've got it. I've been trying to upload my mp3 to File Dropper for you to download, but the site is being flaky (not for the first time :x ). Do you fancy a 38.6MB e-mail attachment?!

I'm happy to explain what I was doing if that will encourage someone to take it on. You need a source image - mstombs has found some good ones for the latest channels, and there is usually no problem finding something with a quick google. The source images don't have to be extremely high resolution,...

Thanks Andy and thanks CW. I was just composing a reply to Andy when CW's message arrived. It looks like a very good solution.

As I've just reported , I am now Toppy-less. So I won't be doing any more logos for TAPs, since I can't test them on a working machine. My site at www.andrec.org.uk will no longer be updated, but if anyone would like to take over and set up their own site for logos, you're welcome to help yourself t...

So long and thanks for all the TAPs

My Toppy has retired, hurt. I reported here that I was having problems after the retuning on PSB2. Although I got it going again with Empty Settings, it wasn't stable, and after the nth spontaneous reboot cycle, I unplugged it and went a bought a Humax HDR-FOX T2. Since then, I've been getting my he...

I've got back in using 'Empty Settings'. I've reset and rescanned and things are not falling over - this is a Good Thing 8) . I'm not sure what the implications are for getting back to exactly how it was, so I'll go on playing. Apologies for the thread drift  .

Yes, I forgot to say that I tried holding down '0'. I'll go on playing, but every time something like this happens, I feel a Humax HDR-Fox T2 coming on!

I've just rescanned to pick up the new channels and I'm now stuck in a rebooting loop. Maybe my Toppy is getting past it (though it had the andyfras treatment a couple of years ago), or maybe there's something in the new configuration which is affecting it. I hope it doesn't mean falling-down Toppie...
