Only with SCART to HDMI adaptor.
Adaptor

But some modern sets appear to not have a SCART socket but do come with a SCART to mini multipin plug adaptor tail.

I can confirm that there is no HDMI on a 5800, only RGB/Component via SCART or composite video or S-video with audio on separate sockets. So unless you have a computer monitor with any of those (some do but most not) then you are stuck. It would probably be better to buy a DTT USB tuner to plug into...

No, the Toppy isn't a PC. OK it has a processor chip but it is not like the plugin CPU in a real computer. It does all sorts of other things like decoding the video/audio, switching inputs and outputs, sending different data streams to hard drive or decoder, processing remote commands etc. All the m...

You could get a SCART switcher to allow both Toppys to be connected. Or, perhaps, you could route of the Toppys via the other using the VCR SCART input, which I believe should pass the RGB through to the TV SCART.

I have got two of them now. But the first one I ran with the vanilla firmware to begin with. If I remember rightly there were a couple of reasons that caused me to install the custom firmware. 1) Difficulty in getting programmes off the T2 without using the custom firmware. 2) Something that annoyed...

The ability to mark programmes at certain points, surely wouldn't have been hard to implement
Another plus mark for the Custom Firmware. It has a Bookmark function as well as some basic programme file editing.

I find that the main benefit is being able to speak to the T2 over the net. Also with the correct settings it makes the internal hard drive appear over the net as a network drive allowing quick and easy downloading of programmes. Plus loads more of configurable items like the display and leds. Acces...

Is it connected into the same TV as the Toppy via an HDMI lead? A poorly screened one can exude a lot of digital c**p which could get into an adjacent aerial lead and cause problems. If it is that a different lead may cure the problem or perhaps moving the cables further apart if they cross over.

The signals from the Durris transmitter only go to transmitter channel 35. The problem areas for 4G are up in the high channels 50s where these filters work. However if you have a masthead amp or RF amplifier in the chain a local 4G signal could swamp the amp and cause problems much lower down the ...

I find that the T2 is perfectly adequate and the addition of the custom software does give you quite a few extra options. However it's still not quite the same as a Toppy with MyStuff. I am not so sure that I would buy one of the later Humax models though.
