Just to say, the main link to a site with lots of pics on is currently broken. Images are cached by Google. http://www.google.com.au/images?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.smithdom.force9.co.uk%2Ftoppy%2F&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&am...

Re: Crash....

I suspect hard disk corruption but not sure on the best way to recover from this except a full format? First thing is to stop using your toppy to prevent the current recordings from being over written. Next is to remove the drive and connect it to a PC. Using TopfHDRW you can repair the disk and co...

Just to say, the main link to a site with lots of pics on is currently broken. Does anyone have an alternative link? [Edit] the broken link is http://www.smithdom.force9.co.uk/toppy/ There is enough info here ( http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/toppytools/pwrcircuit.html ) to be able to do the job...

Re: Surround sound on Freeview HD

Some interesting things for people to consider, before they rush out and buy a Freeview HD box: http://gonedigital.net/2010/05/14/freeviewhd-and-surround-sound/ I think of TV broadcasts as only supporting the lowest common denominator. If you want the bells and whistles then get your content from D...

My channel BT is very much alive. I'm using it for movies (1080/720 BD rips) and TV shows (720 mainly) that our FTA channels are behind in broadcasting.

Re: move invisible .rec files put in Prog folder in error?

I just spent 2+ days slowly transferring my collection of backed up .rec files onto my new 5810 Toppy using Altair, only to find that I put them in the Program directory by mistake!. Can anyone tell me how to move them within the Toppy, to the correct directory. <SNIP> The toppy menu refuses to dis...

Totally agree. I've gotten around the problem by sourcing more and more content from channel BT. I've gotten to the point that I'm hardly ever dual-tuner recording.

We are not even getting any highlights of the V8s here anymore. You'll find them on channel BT. stay away from the street circuits (Bathurst excepted of course) I wouldn't call Bathurst a street circuit, IMO it is is the same category as Le Mans. It's a country road, well actually a loop , but as i...

What is the coverage of the V8s like down under? I don't watch a lot of SuperTaxi racing, I actually prefer the BTCC. Those broadcasts I have seen aren't bad but I suspect the 7 network's bit rate is less then the TEN network's (they have the F1 and MotoGP rights). Also 7 seem to favour broadcastin...
