Thanks to both for your help. I guess I can't just go back to 6.4, delete the RecordedInfo.dat, let it recreate the file again then upgrade it back to 6.5, going by what was said before I'm guessing it would just recreate the bad file again? Is there an easy way to modify the timestamps on the Topfi...

I think I am also experiencing the problem above, the box wiped itself, managed to recover most of the recordings using scan/match, formatted the drive, restored the last programs backup (MS6.5), renamed most of the recovered file names and copied them back onto the box although as mentioned above t...

Thanks for the reply, I must admit I was surprised it was 100% as it's normally in the high 90's, but I do have some aerial attenuators, so will see what effect they have. Yep, you're right, no patches other than the recommended ones put in by the MyStuff installer. Simply from a recovery point of v...

Thank you both for the replies. Fantastic! TopManager is a new one to me and I can see me using that snapshot feature a lot. I have updated my signature as suggested. The signals are as follows:- Signal Monitor 0.53 Results Measured on 9/1/2013 at 21:17 Data format: T1 Levels, T1 Quality, T2 Levels,...

Oh dear, wiped again! This time I don't think it was due to poor signal (or capacitors as these have been replaced). I had paused live TV, then about 2 minutes later unpaused it, then decided to watch the program later, so pressed record to record from the buffer start, which I have done befo...

With the return of the high pressure there have been a few periods of fluctuating signal quality recently, I'm guessing it's the inversion effect because of all the unusual duplicate channels, or is something to do with the digital switch-over. The other night during a period of bad signal breakup o...

I have two 5800's running the Mystuff and recommended firmware, one wiped itself about two months ago, I managed to recover everything using TopfHDRW on the PC (Wahoo!). At the point when it died, it was part way through recording a film which started off with a good signal but then deteriorated unt...

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, yes I hope to be doing a newer version soon, top of the list is to make the activation key configurable, a few people have had problems with the TV/Radio key. I am a little short of time at the moment but hope to do something soon.

Thanks

The list button may not be working due to the Rem Ext [Re] patch, it does seem to re-map key codes, i'll have to investigate and possibly make it more patch aware.

That's quite strange really because on mine the TV/Radio and List buttons return the same remote key code which is why it responds to both keys, I always thought that was odd. I'm guessing you have some sort of patch or tap which fixes this to return two different codes? I guess I could add some con...

When I get a mo, i'll try to reproduce your setup and find out what is going on, it could be my tap is exiting immediately for whatever reason, you could try running tap commander and see if it's still running when you press list?

Thanks

Thanks to all for your suggestions and comments, will look into those. Yeah, it's a bit annoying the broadcasters can't seem to get the EPG data correct all the time, it's also a shame we don't seem to use the sub-genre in the UK, it should be possible to apply extra filtering and maybe identify fil...

New Tap - MovieGuide

I'm not sure how to add a tap to the tap section, but this forum seems the most appropriate place to introduce my first stab at writing a tap. It lists all the films in the EPG in time order, so hopefully useful to film buffs out there. It is available here (forgive the ads):- http://movie.guide.ang...
