@ianch99 I have both since moving home (VM already installed), main points as follows (we all know the benefits of the superb MyStuff so I won't duplicate here): TiVo advantages : HD recording and DD5.1 audio (when broadcast). HD channel quota depends on package but pretty good 'basic' I believe Tri...

Very glad to help :D

Good luck with your upgrade.

Oh, and don't forget the upgrade to MyStuff 6.5 either

Re: IDE cable

Apologies if these are dumb questions. No such thing! I understand your confusion. The connectors on both 40- and 80-wire are identical. The difference is the thickness of the strands and the number; each of the 40 pins gains a second wire connection to ground, improving data flow. They essentially...

My thanks also to the Team. My VM TiVo is a sluggish heap compared to Toppy+Mystuff :D

Only problem? Whether to wait until Thursday's retune or update now....

I had exactly this problem, using my preferred Arial Narrow font. Changing it to another via Font Manager's options sorted the display issue, so I set about reducing the size of the small and medium sizes of Arial Narrow to match the other font; all is now well, and the text no longer requires X/Y a...

I switched on the Toppy this morning at 8am via the remote (to allow Power Restore to auto-shutdown after 15 minutes as set up).

The hour changed from 7 to 8 within a second of it appearing on the front panel.

I think this confirms what you say!

Geoff, what OS are you running? If you're on XP then IE8 is the highest you can go; IE9 is for Vista and 7 only.

Geoff

The revised Forum Profile update works perfectly - a huge improvement. I'm about to upgrade to IE9 so I'll let you know if any issues occur (as the logon is now integrated, I doubt it!).

Thank you! :D

[edit] Now on IE9 but using Firefox 4 as default browser, no problems whatsoever [/edit]

Have you rescanned since you resolved it? If not, I wouldn't expect it to make any difference to the missing channel problem. Julie, there are no missing channels on my Toppy, just a missing channel entry in the scrolling list within Search Setup. I was merely discounting any effect on that particu...

My apologies, I had the favourites names in the main text but suffered a senior moment and deleted them  V1 = My Channels V2 = All TV V3 = All Radio As you suggest, another mcl is an option; though I don't need to create another, just use 'All Radio' @BobD If it's a simple fix then grea...

I have now looked at the code and I am even more confused. The Search box should go through all Fave Lists and then go through all the channels, tv & radio, in normal channel order. So when going through the channels it should do Radio 2,Radio 3, Radio 4 etc all before Radio 7, regardless of se...

I use TopManager all the time (very useful ), which is why I know there are no issues with the MyStuff files - I check regularly. I don't have any problems with Mux2 channels, other than the odd glitch within a recording which is why I've never taken notice of the quality issue. Julie , sorry ...

Bob Exactly what I believed, which is why I thought there may be a bug somewhere. They scroll in LCN order and I first believed it was missing the last in the list, BUT... I've just checked again and now Radio 2 was missing! Restart MS, and it's back. One further thing; LCNs 105, 301 and 303 are in ...

@BobD Er, the what faves list? :? This is happening in the Search setup screen within Searches by Name, and Channel field therein - all the faves lists appear, just not all the individual channel names all the time. :? @Geoff As requested: Signal Monitor 0.53 Results Measured on 28/2/2011 at 20&...
