Re: [SOLVED] Can't login or contact admin?: Forum upgrade disruption ...

Well, after logging in successfully a fair few times since the forum upgrade, today my user/password was not recognised.

The password reset seems to have worked ... but all a bit odd.

I still have one Toppy on the go. I still talk to it via a Slug (do you remember them?). Toppy x 2, 1 in the main room in daily use connected to the network with a Slug, and 1 in the bedroom in semi-retirement connected to the network with a PopcornHour A-110. The Toppies are still brilliant and th...

It seems I'm on 6.5 at the moment actually, I hadn't got around to changing my sig. I do have "Merge back to back timers" set to "Yes" (is that the setting you meant Geoff?), but there were no Cricket highlights on Sunday when Louis Theroux was on, let alone back to back in the s...

Series Search attribution to Manual Timer

Not a problem as such as everything seems to working OK, I'm just curious. I'd set a Series Search for the Womens T20I v West Indies highlights as soon as the first appeared in the EPG. I'd also been setting manual timers for Louis Theroux: Life on the Edge as & when, I didn't bother with a sear...

Even though I have a Zgemma box a Toppy is still my preferred recording device, and this site has been invaluable over the years and I'm still a regular visitor. Many thanks to Nigel and HydeTheDarkSide for keeping the site going

I think all we Toppy users are very grateful that you've done so much over the years to keep the site going Nigel and we'd all hate to lose it. Anything that enables you to keep the site online with the minimum problems for you, sounds good to me. I think the volume could easily be accomodated on th...

I notice that with the Toppy connected to the Disk1 socket, the appropriate LED does not light and the status screen says 'not connected'. LED not lit and the status screen saying 'not connected' is normal for the toppy attached port. At least it is for me, and I can FTP into the toppy quite happil...

Yes I think that's so. For telnet you need unslung 5.5 or earlier if you don't want to unsling to USB, or the latest unslung if you are prepared to unsling to USB.

What does the home/status page say? For example I'm unslung to USB and it reports: Server Name: SG-WRD4 Version: V2.3R63-uNSLUng-6.8-beta IP Address: 192.168.1.253 USB Port 1: Not Installed USB Port 2: Ready, 3539MB (98% Free) uNSLUng status: Unslung to disk2, /dev/sda1

You should be able to use the remote until you see the L. MyStuff was changed quite a while ago (6.0??) to allow that. That's odd. My Toppies don't responded to key presses while waiting for the L, never have. If I press the mute button immediately after 'run' has changed to a channel number then t...

I used the MyStuff installer to update Toppy 1 on Monday ... no vf&f since, nor on un-updated Toppy 2, left on for a couple of hours an evening just to see. So it looks (fingers crossed) as if it's resolved one way or another, which is a good result, thanks everyone. Anyway I'm just off to updat...

Hmm ... a bit strange that andyfras seems to be getting a few of these as well.

Anyway I'm off tomorrow for the weekend so I'll do an update as suggested when I get back next week and let you know how I get on after that.

Thanks everyone.
