If you use LCNs rather than names, you don't need to touch the epg_upload.ini file (and in fact, from channel 6 onwards are indeed just LCNs). In fact, I see you have 5 dud entries at the beginning of your inifile, but apart from slowing things down a tiny bit, won't be too much of a problem.

Just remember if you do make them LCNs in the TGD files, you need to re-enable the LCN loading. THe main reason I put that menu option in there (thinking way back now) was so that the channel info field could support things like: LCNs- 2 9 or Text TWO Nine But also support comma separated LCNs 2,9 (...

I don't use TED/S either. But whatever you use to build the TGD files should enable you to rename the channels (including TED/S) at that end. I use PerlTGD and it certainly does.

You have two x 49s. As I said before though, it is much easier if you simply put the LCNs into the XMLTV/TGD files, rather than names, then you don't have to keep mucking about with the epg_upload.ini file every time a new channel comes along, as the TAP will simply spot the number in the TGD and go...

I think it supports up to 30 channels. You just have to make sure to increase the number of channels in the inifile as you add all the [] channel info stuff.

Can't you all just use LCN numbers instead of channel names, it is quite a bit quicker and simpler to use, as you don't need to play with any epg_upload.ini settings when any new channels come online? So simply substitute numbers instead of ascii names for your channels in TED/S or PerlTGD/etc. Rega...

http://members.iinet.net.au/~warrickallen/epg_upload.ini If your epg_upload.ini had a carriage return at the end of 7TWO, this should be ok. Eek, then I think I know what might be happening (but will have to check), EPG_uploader may be seeing the "7" at the beginning of the channel name a...

720 x 576? That's not 16:9 Wrong. nor is it HD. Right. 720x576 can be any (well, lets keep it realistic for DVD/DVB-T/ and it can be 16:9, 4:3) aspect ratio, with suitable flags. That is what was coined "anamorphic" in the early days of DVD when widescreen DVDs started becoming popular. S...

TED will work fine using FTP. I was using ftpd-topfield of course, on a slug, you don't need an icebox. As long as it deals ok with the nuances of the ftp daemon running on the Toppy, it should be fine with no changes necessary.

All the 3.26 versions use libraries like the "exTAP" and libfirebird which tap into the MIPS code in memory. I think 3.15rls2 was the last version that used the stock API.

Well done! I will have to see how you tidied it up (and maybe get some coding tips also :-) ) and try to incorp #ifdef in my future versions to try to have the one code stream support both PVRs.

As I exlained on the previous page, if you run manual time and playback a file, then your EIT will keep changing its local time by a minute for every minute you watch a file, until you get a timestamp from the broadcaster again (stop file playback). This is not the case for auto time, as the Topfiel...

The Aussie 5K has a bug for those running manual time. Essentially, as the EIT is stored as GMT, the Topfield has to run a calculation on it to get it to localtime, and it uses the broadcasted timestamp(!) still to subtract from the current localtime which then produces an offset to add to the EIT. ...

unclassified sounds more like parental rating, but maybe I am wrong?
Nigel, to set fundamental EIT stuff the standard API to upload the EIT table works fine. It is just a matter of building out the table correctly.
