I think finding WD2500AAJB in the not working thread is a good clue. It may be ok for you in a pc, but that doesn't mean it will work in a toppy. OK But not working thread said it worked but had probs with TAPs I am not using any TAPSs I would have thought the Toppy utils on pc would have showed an...

Did you use the MyStuff installer? Otherwise it's possible for the TAPs to load in the wrong order, which can lead to a hang-up. Try holding down the 0 button when powering up in order to prevent TAPs loading. If it then works OK, you'll know it's a problem with the TAPs. Hi Bit of a misunderstandi...

On a 5800 or 5810 don't be surprised to find disk temperatures of 50+C. A slow fan (1000/1200 rpm) can bring the temperature down by around 10 to 15C on a 5800. I have been having problems with my box which I think are due to overheating the highest I have been able to see is 48C before it goes hay...

Playback Freeze

Hi
For the last 2 days playing back recordings causes the toppy picture to freeze it still responds to remote but very slowly.
This can only be fixed by powering off and on again at mains.
Any ideas anyone?
TIA

We are interested. The lack of response was just that nobody could come up with a reason for it in such a new machine. Do you put it into standby each day, or is it on 24/7. I suspect the latter as you have never seen the standby light. In which case, it may have run out of memory due to memory lea...
