I have a 5800 which has developed a habit of stopping playback.
When this happens, I can restart the program, got to where it finished and carry on. But it can stop again after a shorter playback interval.
Yesterday I tried shutting the machine down and rebooting, it was ok after that.
There are no other problems, just the playback.
Today I found about 50 saved searches so I have cleared that down to 12, but I do not know if that is relevant.

Please ignore the sig at the bottom, that is for a 5810. Here is the information for the 5800:

I think these are cause for concern. It suggests that at some point the disk has been running at over 60C. This may in turn have caused the other errors.

Would these not cause errors when recording as well?

I had a problem like this a few years back. I decided there was a bad spot on the disk that was causing corruption. So I didn't delete the recording where it occurred, but hid it in a folder.

And since then, no problems.

I cleared out a load of obsolete saved timings for scheduled recordings and have not had a problem since.
