Hi - just turn my Toppy off whilst recording -Doh! Forgot that it was recording.

Before switching off it came up with a warning asking whether I wanted to turn it off, even though I was recording. Before I had a chance to realise what was happening it switched off, and lost the recording. It must have been on screen for all of 2 seconds!

Is there any way of changing the amount of time that this warning is on screen for?

The message should stay there until the end of any recordings, with "OFF" appearing on the LED display, and only then should the Toppy switch off. So something probably went wrong there. I recently got a crash like that as well. (You might be able to rescue the partial recording using the recFixer TAP.)

Hmmm - just tried it again on an instant record and exactly the same thing.

Not sure why I'm seeing your sig in the RSS feeds and not here on the site Confused Perhaps you need to adjust your profile settings to add them to the posts you make Question

But the standard Toppy procedure (over which you have no control) is to display the Toppy osd that asks if you really want to shut down whilst recording; where the default selection is "No".

I'd suggest a quick removal from the mains power supply and test again.

We do have in NextGen MyStuff a full feature power down that sets the sleep options if it detects a power off during a recording, courtesy of Firebird (I think Embarassed sorry if I've assigned the wrong author Embarassed Embarassed )
