Hi,

I tried out meisearch last night, but for some reason I couldn't type - I could move backwards and forwards with the cursor but pressing the number buttons did nothing - any ideas?

Thanks

Ian

Have you checked the main MeiSearch Thread? If you don't get a response here, post there as it may well be the one one the author monitors.

Thanks

The predictive text entry in this TAP only picks word which are in a dictionary that the TAP creates dynamically from the words in EPG data when it is loaded.

So if it has not loaded any EPG data (perhaps because it is configured to use a source that does not exist on your machine), the predictive text will appear not to work.

Ian,

probably no EPG data loaded - there's a setting in the options that configures where MeiSearch will look for the data. For best results you need a .mei file generated either by eit2mei or (preferably) by one of the utilities that downloads EPg data from the internet to your toppy (rt2mei etc)

Hi,

Thanks guys - I looked in the settings and changed the source to freeview.mei (I have eit2mei running) and it works fine now.
