If you're getting your data from the broadcast EPG, then there is a single category for Film/Drama. I guess that MyStuff then does some educated guesswork (length? year in title as you suggest? a combination?) to try to work out which are films.

You can also source your EPG data from the internet (for instance using something like rt2mei). This has much more granular genre information along with other information (like film star ratings, etc).

I'm afraid I don't have any plans to make significant changes to MeiSearch at the moment.

Nice TAP; the only quibble I have is that the Film/Drama category it's getting from the .mei file isn't specific enough for me...
Adding programme length to the filters has been suggested before and would help a lot.

Any thoughts on adding font manager support?

Hi @rwg,
I have been wondering about asking you this for ages...

would you please concider an option for making CTs get created at lowest priority rather than highest priority please?

I have asked in the MyStuff thread if any control over the import can be given too, but I was directed here..

Thanks, lovely TAP.. missing it already read here to see why.

I've been using this Tap for a week now without problems, very nice.
I would like to make a few suggestions though, i would like to go to the last page i viewed when the tap is started again. In my case i primarily use this Tap to view all the films at a glance. Would be nice to press 1 button and my most used search comes straight up (and updated).
Also can we have an extra option as to wether a list is viewed alphabetically or by time by default.

cheers John

Fantastic Tap, But I have one query that I cannot solve?

In the intructions it states

'A broken filmstrip indicates that a program is split into two parts (around the news maybe).
Currently the recording of split programs will record a single event covering both parts and
the other program in between.'

Now if I try to set a timer for this program from MeiSearch I will only get the first part ie: before the news? Yet if I set the time from within MyStuff's EPG I get the message -

'This program appears to continue after "The News". MyStuff has extended the time to cover the other half.' Which is what I want to happen..

Eg: Saturday 7th June 2008 at 22:00 on ITV1 'Gone In 60 Seconds' is on. Timer works fine from MyStuff EGP both parts, but if I set the timer from MeiSearch 'broken filmstrip' then check on the Mystuff EPG it is only set for the first half?

Please help as im a big film buff and I use MeiSearch to list all the films then I just go down and click record on all the ones I want but I keep getting half films, I missed the second half of the Patriot the other day ...Gutted

I tried to download this TAP today, but the download (and homepage) link redirected me to www.sitesled.com instead. Has the TAP been withdrawn, or is there a (temporary?) problem with the website?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Dave.

Sitesled is notorious for down-time. Try TAPWorld instead, I reckon it will be hosted there as well.

Thank you for the suggestion, but it too simply links to sitesled. I'll take Glen up on his kind offer.
