I think the point is that each mux carries many channels. If the channel you want to watch is carried in the same mux as either of the channels you are recording then you can still watch it.

Almost. It?s that other special thing the Toppy does - record 2 channels from the same mux using only 1 tuner.

MUX2 contains both ITV1, and Channel 4, so the Toppy is quite happy to record both of those channels from the one tuner. Of course the other tuner is completely free, so whilst that dual record is going on, you can watch ANY TV channel.

Having said that, we do have a bug at the moment: The Toppy only does the ?record 2 channels from 1 tuner? thing, if the programmes start at the same time. If they start apart by more than a minute, then the Toppy uses both tuners. Hopefully they will fix that in a future update.
