Not urgent as I have fiddled it, but is there a way in MyStuff to set a timer without using the EPG?

I wanted to set up a recording for BBC4 for a short period of the Olympics this afternoon and the EPG showed No Information, so (after puzzling for quite a while) I had to set a timer for the period later in the day, then tweak start and end times.

I had a feeling that there was a feature somewhere to set up a timer from scratch specifying all the details - times, channel etc - without the EPG. I can't see anything in the MS manual, so was I wrong?

The native interface allows you set create timers (via menu (not MyStuff's menu)).

Ah, OK. I have never used the native interface, so have no idea about it. Not to worry, workaround sorted.

I'm not near a Toppy atm, but I think you can use the Blue button (or whatever you've configured instead) from the timers list in MS.

Well, I thought it was something like that, but it only seems to work for a new search. From the Timers page, it just produces a "selected" tick for me.

Ah yes, you're right - it only works for a new search, not a new timer. Oh well.
