Hi

I am looking at a toppy for my mother-in-law but andyfras only has a remoteless one at the moment.

does anyone have experience of one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271506445489

Are they quite intuitive (and easy)to use on a toppy (running mystuff) or do you have to be a toppy officinado to know that a certain button brings up epg/archive etc.

I could give her one of our remotes but the icons are now so faded it needs prior knowledge of the remote.

Just from looking at the layout, the first hurdle you'll have to overcome is there doesn't appear to be a White button to be able to delete recordings, which makes me question the description as a replacement remote for a TF5800.

The buttons it DOES have may well be programmed to work with a 5800, but that doesn't help if you don't have all the buttons you need.

Hi

Well I took the plunge and it arrived today.

Quite Impressed to be honest.
contrary to the picture on ebay the buttons actually have toppy relevant labels and icons including opt, archive, list, the satellite icon, recall, p-in-p move the stop button also has the word live

Whilst the button is not white it does have delete (2nd from right on bottom row)

It does seem to do everything it should and multiple (mystuff) presses on epg/archive/playback are ok.

Definitely a suitable replacement and at a better price than a turbo sat original.
I did take some pics but I have no means to upload.

As it is brand new with no fading the mother in law is going to get this one and the one Andy did manage to russle up will now be a spare
