Trying to set one up for Road Wars on Pick.
Going to advanced settings and selecting Mon
to Fri, but Sat and Sun progs still selected.

Is that because the timers had already been set before you edited the search criteria?

I think the logic here was to restrict the series it searches for to ones that are on during the week, but if those series also air an episode over the weekend then it will also pick those up.

If the thing it is matching is not a series, then it should only pick them up during the week.

So it only really excludes the weekend for non-series timers, for series timers it will still use the weekend if it wants/needs to in order to avoid clashes/missed episodes or to record the earliest possible match.

Advanced Settings do work for PSes, but you're misunderstanding HOW they work.

Restrictions only work for the TEXT part of the search. If you were creating a TS, rather than a PS, what you're doing would work the way you expect, but the search is finding a match, and then setting a timer for the first instance with the same Series CRID as your search criteria.

If the Sat and Sun episodes are alternative showings of the same episodes, don't bother with the day restriction, and then open the search and exclude the search group for the Sat and Sun programmes.

If they are all different episodes, but you just don't want the Sat and Sun episodes, use a Text Search instead.
