Thanks for the report (shame you hadn't posted it in the dedicated "fsCheck Report" thread as requested - I'm trying to keep them in one thread to make it easier for me should I try to analyse them in the future).
Still, never mind.

The time stamp indicates that you didn't have an aerial connected (or possible the CR2032 battery needs replacing if you have a 5810).

You appear to have some corruption errors in the report :

This could be indicative of underlying problems on the toppy (memory and/or issues reading/writing the disk and/or USB transmission errors)

As you know, I was unable to read the disk because read operations just took longer and longer to perform. I suggest you connect the disk to your pc and run a full Seagate diagnostic on it (including Write operations). This will take several hours to complete. If that doesn't pass the tests then replace the disk. If it does work then it should cause the pending sectors to be mapped to replacement ones and the disk may then be usable (but I suspect that this will use nearly all the replacement sectors).

Personally, I would replace the disk as I wouldn't want to rely on anything recorded on it.

Sorry I didn't post to correct thread, but I was in a hurry and didn't look deep enough into the TAPs folder. (smack hands & open eyes next time, before touching keys).

Thanks for the reply. I have invested in a 'BRAND NEW' WD 1.5tb HDD, which, hopefully will be a good choice.

I know wrong thread (but have posted in other one before...) but I have same drive, which I think is working fine... despite many more power cycles / on hours. udma errors were all from initial install, problem finding good cable, no change in past year.
