normally switching inputs on the TV or AVR will reset it.

I wish that worked, but it seems that switching the Humax off and on again is the only way to sort it out.

The point is that I didn't have to worry about any of this when on an SD toppy, connected via SCART. Is the upgrade to HD worth the hassle? For many I think the answer is probably not.

Actually it seems that the PVR market in general is in disarray. Humax seem to be the only ones left (and even they are looking a little shaky, with Humax direct still offline). Obviously streaming services are something to do with that, but I think its a shame that nearly a decade on no-one appears to be able to make a PVR that matches a Toppy. A decent PVR is still an incredibly useful bit of kit.

An HDMI switch might get round the problem. On the other hand, it might not. Smile

My sister has the HDR-2000 and a Foxsat HDR, both into a Samsung TV. Only the 2000 has HDMI issues.

She gets around the problem by ensuring that the TV is switched on before the 2000.

I'm hopeful that this might be fixed by a firmware update eventually, but it may not be that easy.
