I have a problem!

When I put the toppy into standby the red light doesn't come on.
And I don't think it wakes up to record.

I have done a mains reset, but this only fixes it for a day or 2.

Rather than swap the front panel out, I recall maybe something needs resoldering on the front panel.

Can someone, AndyF Laughing point me to the post on what the issue is.

Thanks

….. at least 9 years Shocked

When the capacitors were replaced last year, was it just the main 6 and where did they come from?

I now recommend replacing 13 capacitors (15 on older Toppies with brown Sam Young capacitors).

What about the capacitors though? If you haven't had them all done it would be wise, problems or not.

Andy may be able to supply a replacement PSU, completely refurbished.

Sorry to be late to this thread; I've been away.

As mentioned, I can still supply capacitor kits and refurbished PSUs (and many other parts, including front panels).

Thanks Andy.

Any thoughts on a fault with the front panel ?
Or not something you have come across?

No, I've not seen that particular front panel fault; it's usually the IR receiver which causes FP problems. It may be a missing or low voltage rail which is affecting the clock.
