As juwlz says, this folder shouldn't normally be in the root folder. As the description indicates, this could be as a result of user error i.e. you but it could indicate that the file system has been corrupted at some point.
You have no other issues and SMART looks good so I suspect it was finger trouble. @Bizman
That look fine but the SMART statistics are missing.
Can you please try it again to see if they show up this time?
If not, can you see if the SMART data can be displayed using the TM PcControl| Display HDD Statistics option (or using HDDInfo)?

@Geoff, I have just run it again with the same result. The HDD is the original Toppy one. As I don't have TM installed I may be some time.... |

Hi
Can you try it again without Time Shifting enabled?
PcControl disables TS when it collects the SMART data but I have left it enabled fsCheck (I believed I had corrected a bug in the FireBird library that allowed me to ignore TS). - Perhaps I was wrong?
Cheers

Just removed it now. It contained a bak.lnk dated 7/7/13 in a Mystuff/backups folder.

Thanks for that - saves me worrying too much. I'll check the code and see if I can output a "SMART disabled" message in the report to cover this situation.
@meadfoot
Thanks for the feedback. As a .lnk file isn't something you were likely to copy it appears that you had a very minor file system corruption on 07/07/13

The disk is always collecting SMART data even when disabled; I'm guessing that disabling just prevents the operating system from receiving/detecting error reports about the disk.
I could enable/disable SMART when necessary but, as I can't see any reason why a user should have it disabled, I'll just add a comment to the report saying that it can be turned on with HDDInfo (I've already coded/tested it)
Cheers

@CW
Thanks for the report.
The invalid date/time shouldn't cause any problem with the running of the toppy; it just indicates that there has been a hiccup at some time. If you want to fix this one, it is probably easiest to overwrite it with a fresh copy from the installation kit.
Suggest you rerun in a couple of weeks to see if the Reallocated Sector Count has increased ("Failure Trends in a Large Disk Drive Population" indicates that a disk is 3-6 times more likely to fail if it has reallocated sectors). If on a rerun, the reallocated count isn't increasing then the disk may be good for some time.
