Hi
I have today tried to install My Stuff 6.4 with new firmware onto my 5810 but when it comes to the re-boot / install it is telling me 'inadequate memory for uncompressed file' please turn off taps & try again.
Unfortunately i seem to be having trouble turning off the taps.
Any help would be great
Thanks |

Suspect you need to turn of the toppy and boot "tapless" i.e. hold 0 down on the remote until the TV shows a picture.
Then
1) Press Archive
2) Press << (to show ProgramFiles)
3) Press OK (with Auto Start selected)
4) Scroll down to FwLoad and press OK
Assuming all that works, you probably need to reboot the toppy.
If no FwLoad, then the easiest thing is probably to reinstall MyStuff again (you should have more memory because you booted tapless)

You should ensure that there are no duplicate channels before attempting to install MyStuff. It's strongly recommended to delete all the dross (pay, porn, shopping etc.) channels too. |

The easiest way to prune your channels is to use Channel Organiser, which the installer will have added to /ProgramFiles/Utilities.
Aim to get to a total of no more than 40 channels (easy when you delete all the pay, porn, shopping and unwanted radio)
So the full process is
Boot TAPless by holding down the zero button as the Toppy starts
Run Channel Organiser to delete channels
Run FWLoad to complete the firmware update
Reboot again to start everything normally

Channel Organiser should NEVER be put in Auto Start.
All you're doing when you boot TAPless is to stop TAPs in Auto Start from being loaded.
To run any TAP manually, get to the native archive (with no TAPs running, just press the Archive key), then << to get to ProgramFiles, then navigate to the folder where your TAP is saved, select it and press OK.
