Hi, Until today I've only ever copied files From my Toppy (5810) done it dozens of times, no problems.

Today I made myself a Video, and using VideoReDo Plus V3 saved it as *.rec, no problem. I've used VideoReDo Plus V3 for a good while now to convert *.rec into *.vob, found no problems reversing the output.
I wanted to upload my video Into Toppy. My laptop's OS is Win.7 64bit, so I use Antares. The upload into Toppy seemed to succeed... However...

When I opened the Recordings in Toppy to play it back, I can't find the file.
Any ideas what I've done wrong ? The file uploaded into the folder along with all the existing Toppy recordings.

Poppa.

Use antares to locate the file; it must be in \Datafiles (or a subdorectory of) and ensure it ends in .rec (rename it if it doesn't)

Are you using Mystuff to look for the file? in which case whilst in the archive menu, press 0 and it should appear.

Use a TAP such as Media Manager to look for it; You've probably copied it to the uppermost directory which is invisible to the native archive and many other TAPs. Once found you can move it, quickly, to the "right" folder, viz. Data Files. Simplez!

Or you may even need to exit and restart MyStuff.

Upper or lower case for .rec? I think that the Toppy file extension names may be case sensitive, whereas on a PC running windows they are not.

All the files I've 'pulled off' have has lower case *.rec.

As soon as Toppy is free to use, I'll set about trying all these suggestions.
I'll post the results as soon as...
