Should I be able to see the various program files such as .mcf files on screen somehow? I can see them OK with Altair via the USB, but not on the TV itself.

All I can see is a general MyStuff file and all my recordings (that is using the native Archive menu, whereas using MyStuff I can't see anything except recordings and recycle). There are various folders (Skins etc.) visible, but they shown as empty.

The Toppy only shows .rec, .mp3 and .tap files. What you are seeing is normal.

Anything else and you have to use something like Atair to see the files.

You could use the Filer TAP if you wanted to see "other" files. I sometimes use it if I have recorded a lot of kids' programs and renamed them using the native Toppy interface. MyStuff still sees them as their original names but if I use Filer to delete the MyStuff MEI data then MyStuff rebuilds its database using the new names.

Thanks for that, I might have a play tomorrow.

Do you know if there is an English version of the manual? My German is moderate, but I might struggle with nearly 60 pages of technical stuff!

Edit: I have found one for the V1.20 Filer, but is there a later one?

Another option is Bellissimo's Media Manager TAP.

Thanks Julie. I suspected that TAPs would start coming out of the woodwork as soon as someone said it couldn't be done!
