Just installed the August firmware and was looking forward to these feature changes...

1) Increase speed of fast foward and rewind.
2) Playback of a current recording should start from the beginning.
3) Recordings should be lockable before they are complete.

These are coming in the next version due in early September, and which will be received OTA. Cool

If you take a lot in the August firmware document, the changes in this firmware and September's firmware are listed.

Can anyone tell me if the Improbox recall key jump feature or QuickJump leaves the progressbar on screen after a skip?

If it does I'll have to release a fix for Quickjump to close the progress bar again.

Yes, QuickJump is having problems here because of the progress bar coming up on screen. It means that the yellow and green keys makes and jumps to a bookmark instead of doing 1 min and 30 sec jumps. Also, the blue key doesn't do anything because the bar is on screen.

Cheers,

Just to be absolutely clelar on this, they are scheduled for the next update; things could still change.

And while OTA updates are confirmed and enabled with this update, we don't yet have a date for when the first one will happen. It depends on when the update comes, and when there's an available slot, so it's quite possible that it may take a while, if there are lots of other manufacturers who want to update their boxes too. No one has yet committed to any particular update being sent OTA.

All we really know is that OTA updates will happen; more than that is speculation.

Yep, same trouble here. Sad

I'll have a fix for the Quickjump problems in a day or so. I've just got to make sure QuickJump doesn't hide the progress bar inappropriately.

Excellent. It's amazing how unusable the Toppy feels without QJ! Laughing

Yeah. That was pretty much what my wife said about the flashing progressbar after I loaded the new firmware. When the ads come round it's a competition to see who gets to the red button first Wink
