I hope so, it seems like it has been a long wait since last week.

Well, if was going to be posted in Korea, then I doubt it, as it's gone knocking-off time already.

That's what someone said last time... it appeared at a very odd hour for a Korean.

Nigel.

Is there a prize for the first person to spot it on the Topfield website and report it here?

Unlikely!

Nigel has already said he is a grumpy person this week! Sad

I think he needs a holiday. Wink

Just a touch; I'm off to Dublin for a short break tomorrow; this afternoon is set aside for playing "hunt the passport."

What is the procedure for getting the software ?

DO I have to make sure the box is off to get the s/w ?

How many days it is broadcast for ?
Will it tell me it has new s/w or do I have to check the system settings ?

or an I way off the mark, and I need to get it off the web and USB it in ?

If so, any pointers ?

Thanks

You have to download the firmware from a website and update the toppy using USB or serial.

The current firmware doesn't even support broadcast updates but that's one thing promised for this update.

If you want a rough guide to doing the update, then look at the May firmware update section of the FAQs, which includes a link to a guide explaining how to install and use that update.

When the firmware is available, there will be a matching guide from this site, with full installation instructions, and a detailed summary of which bugs should have been fixed.

Well spotted; I was waiting for the official Topfield site update, but I'll add a link to that one for the time being.

It's happily installed on my box already.

Ok, so Im reading the how to upgrade instructions...

Have I got this right? - You need to click the download button on the TFDN_USB program BEFORE you turn on the Topfield, then you turn on the Topfield and the download starts?

I just dont want to muck it up.
