[Ez] EPGSize adjusts various bits of the EIT collection to enable the complete 8 days of broadcast EPG data to be stored. This includes the whole of today and up to 10 days of future data before events are culled. There's a tricky bit with the handling of the current, running event coming to an end, since Topfield took the easy route and just deleted it...

Is there anything different that I should see now that I have this one loaded, or does it just tidy up some things?

The most obvious difference will be the whole of today's programmes before the current one. But internally it will eliminate a lot of the flip-flop processing that happens as that old data (or very new data) gets added, then deleted again.

Two minor possible oddities that I've only noticed since applying this patch (but I'm totally willing to accept could be coincidental):

1) While it does provide most of the current/previous day EPG (an occasionally useful feature actually!), the days ahead don't seem to extend quite as far as they did. So I now see 7 days ahead plus maybe 3 hours, whereas before it would extend beyond by, say, 6-12 hours. So I'd normally sit there at about 9-10pm Sunday evening scanning for next week's recordings, and start to see into the Monday morning a week ahead, whereas now it is stopping at about midnight. It could of course be that since the patch was applied it hasn't been Sunday evening and the broadcasters have more data ahead on that day than others...(?)

2) If the (native) EPG updates while viewing it, it often renders an extra unnecessary day/date (yellow) under an entry in addition to the usual one that marks the day transition. As soon as the up/down cursor is used this extra one disappears. Totally harmless of course, and could be an existing bug I'd not noticed before because the EPG updates a lot now, whereas before it was slow and patchy.

Just FYI.

R2-D2 knows better, but until he comes along why not remove the patch and have a look again.

Glen.

Does this mean that MyStuff could still set CT's from the EPG for a show that you watched earlier and now want to catch the next episodes of?

I think MyStuff culls data that is "old" -- I've currently got about 3hrs back in MyStuff, but all the way back to midnight in the native EPG (and the .mei file MyStuff is using).

Ah, that explains what I am also seeing then.

Well you could always hit the key you have configured for Next Episode (if you have one), and set it from there Wink.

M9: Jump To Next Episode key=List
If you don't use this now, it's worth setting so you can use one of the new features in MS 6.0 when it's released ... she said, cryptically.

No that's not the problem. It's just that you have to have your cursor ON the "current" (or no-longer-visible) EPG cell to be able to use the Next Ep button to jump to the next one. (I had a Blonde moment!)

The feature is already listed on Bob's website. Don't bother guessing. How to access it may change before release, so it's pointless speculating Wink.
