Had a funny twice in the last few days. Had a UKAS timer set for Virgin 1 - but the toppy has recorded BBC1. I don't have an extend log for the first but here is the one for the second.

I checked the UKAS search for Terminator and it clearly says Virgin 1

Extend is reporting LCN 0, which means the data is duff. You should try TimeCheckGUI, and then worry a bit, and then install [Td]. It's lucky you didn't try chase playing the duff recording...

I was slightly wrong above. The first case was ITV4 not Virgin 1.

I had spotted the LCN 0. Could it have been that those two channels LCNs 20 & 28 were the only two that *might* have had timers set before I rescanned for the Film4 move? F4 moved from *after* those two to *before* I suppose that could have upset the Toppys internal numbering?

I have TD installed. Sig not up to date Sad

Edit - TimerCheckGUI: No errors found.

?? Why the case play comment? What might have happened. The recording is of BBC1 and the correct length.

Oh yeah, could be. Although UKAS/whatever would probably have shown the timer as being on the wrong channel before it fired (don't know why you'd get BBC1 for both of them instead though, unless you've got an odd internal channel order).

Maybe LCN0 translates as lowest LCN tuned in?

No, as above, LCN 0 usually means Extend couldn't find the channel (by svcType/svcNum) because the data was duff. It's possible it could have found the channel and it had an LCN of 0, but that's not normal -- the Toppy normally does that 1000 numbering thing.

Because of:
Quote:
*RS: 0) REC ts=1004 svc=1084 [LCN 2] (PA) Around the World in 8_20090213.rec

Quote:
*RS: 0) REC ts=6000 svc=1044 [LCN 0] (PA) Terminator: The Sarah_20090213.rec
That data is clearly wrong, since BBC1 is on the same mux as BBC2 (so the tsID should be 1004). Also, I'd expect the svcID to be in the same range as the tsID -- so it looks to me like you've got the tsID of Virgin1 and the svcID of BBC1. The Toppy gets very confused if you try to chase play recordings that don't have correct service data -- with all manner of possible symptoms (usually ends up as a crash at some point, though).
