It is POSSIBLE (or even likely!) that anyone attempting to use the installer after the recent major Windows 10 update will find that it locks up, most likely when starting or when entering more than 10 characters in a field.

Microsoft claim to be working on the problem, but have declined to give even a target date for a fix. Meanwhile all I can suggest is that you revert back to the previous version of Windows if you need to use the installer and experience lock-ups.

Thanks for the warning.

I wasn't aware that the installer prompted for any "long" strings.
I don't know if my Build Offline MyStuff Installer program suffers from the same problem (perhaps someone who needs to reinstall can give it a go and let me know?)

I did notice that, after the update, I had to rerun Z4t to reinstall the driver.

EMJB's problems started when his Windows 10 Pro system was upgraded to Version 1803 (OS build 17134.81); reverting to an earlier version resolved his problems immediately.

My Win 10 Home 64 bit version 1803 wanted to apply the .81 upgrade this morning so I let it do it.
Following the upgrade, I haven't had any issues connecting TM to my toppies using USB or FTP (via a slug)

However, having said that, entering "System" in the Cortana box shows that I am running "Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134" and this is the same string as prior to the upgrade!
Further investigation shows that looking at "Update Settings| "Windows Update"| "OS build" shows that I am running 17134.81" i.e. the update has been applied; Microsoft just can't decide how to display it!

So it looks like the .81 upgrade is ok on a Windows "Home 64 bit" system.
Thoughts
1) EMJB was just unlucky and it may work if he reapplies the update.
2) the issues do exist but only apply to the Pro version of windows
3) the issues also exist in the Home version but I was lucky and it will bite me later.

Geoff
PS This upgrade didn't require running Z4t to reinstall the drivers
