I was going to post this sooner, but since I was on MyStuff 6.5, I though I'd better update first.

I checked the Channel list at

https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Tacolneston

It's:
55,59,50,42,45,39,57,31,37

That list isn't offered in Channel Organiser, so I did a full (All channels) retune.

FYI LCN 71/CBS Drama is on Ch 31.

I watched carefully, and it didn't harvest ANY channels from Ch 31.

Indeed, after the retune, Channel Manager only reported LCNs from
55,59,42,45,39
(so nothing from 50,57,31,37)

But my Sony TV (KDL-40HX853), also given a retune, happily plays the trashy programs from CBS Drama, LCN 71, with no trouble; the Sony is connected to the aerial OUT socket on the Toppy.

So - in the immortal words of Marvin Gaye - What's going on?

PS, different issue, Channel Organiser complained about my FreeView.dat, despite it being freshly updated by the MyStuff 6.6 install

Its because ch31 and maybe the others are HD channels so the Toppy cannot see them.

Even though CBS Drama is an SD channel its on a HD Mux

Have a look at http://www.terrestrialtv.co.uk/dtt.cgi which will show you what the other channels are on.

That's a truly helpful and complete answer - thank you.

I recommend the official channel lists

http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/industry/Channels/channel_listings

and use the checkbox to get specific info for the Transmitters receivable at your postcode.

UKfree.TV still doesn't have correct channel for the Oxford Local Mux, and channel list not up to date - I can see community lcn 63 which recently moved etc...
