While I am still hosting BuildMyStuffInstaller on my website http://www.geeceebee.co.uk/ website,
I strongly recommend that you use my GCBMyStuffInstaller instead.
The thread for GCBMyStuffInstaller is here
Ever wanted to install MyStuff on a Windows Pc that doesn't have an internet connection? - Well now you can!
19 Jun 2018 Updated
The standard MyStuff installer references files on EMJB's tiscali site and will cease to work when his site disappears.
I have repackaged this software to use a consolidated kit (one which contains the files that the standard MyStuff Installer would provide). This means that it will not be affected by the disappearance of EMJB's site and the output can be used to install MyStuff on a windows pc (irrespective of whether it has an internet connection during the install).
When run, the BuildOfflineMyStuffInstaller.exe :-
- Downloads a consolidated MyStuff Installer kit
- Refreshes transient files :-
Freeview.dat and FvTxData.tsv (used by the ChannelOrganiser tap)
logo.dat and smlogo.dat (from Gramps's site)
- Rewrites the configuration files to eliminate the need for internet access
- Creates a MyStuffInstaller(OffLine).zip
- Creates a Build Offline MyStuff Installer.log
To use the MyStuffInstaller(OffLine).zip
- Copy this file to the pc that will do the installation
- Unzip the file into a new folder
- Run Setup.exe in the unzipped folder
- Perform a normal MyStuff Installation.
After the installation, the folder will contain a log of the installation (as for an online installation)

Also speculating here -- perhaps timid about a sewing issue, a problem with his nuts, etc -- but given the lack of MyStuff context maybe we're looking at an extension of the Loebner contest. Hmm, that would help explain the relentless helpfulness and two billion[1] lines of code for his(?) disk recovery program... Geoff, why can't you day-dream on Tuesday night?
[1] It may not have been exactly two billion. |

If you guys won't let me generate place holders while I set up a project then I won't write any more!

Geoff
Do keep innovating please, not sure how many more years we have with our Toppies, but I know it is longer while you are still interested!
I guess you have put a link into the documentation?
But it's t=20888 or p=267641 isn't it? |

Well, that's borderline emotional, so probably human.
For anyone arriving after Geoff's edit to the first post - and wondering 'wtf' - the original topic was "Reserved for new thread", content "To be Updated". (It was just the the topic name that had us going).
Btw, thanks Geoff! |

Just uploaded v1.2 of this program.
Changes
1) Provides a warning if the TLS security protocol is not enabled (this is what prevents the standard MyStuff Installer from downloading some files) and indicates how TLS can be enabled.
2) Provides a mechanism to allow the browser to be used to fetch those files affected by the TLS setting and/or allows the user to select existing files on the PC.
3) Uses internal decompression routines (no need for zipfldr.dll to be registered).
4) Eliminates the UAC dialog asking "Do you want to run this file" (Vista and later).
This version builds an equivalent zip kit to the v1/v1.1 i.e. the changes are all in the execution of the program rather than in what it produces.

Uploaded version 1.4
This primarily adjusts the messages displayed about the SecureProtocols (introduced in 1.2)
