Sorry about that.
I'm guessing that you just typed the output in from the TV screen.
Immediately after displaying "DISK GEOMETRY", the tap calls FireBird's HDD_GetHDDInfo routine. When it returns, it immediately displays "Total Sectors" (or an error message if the call failed). This implies that the call didn't complete (surprising as HDD_GetHDDInfo looks quite innocuous) or that something has been overwritten in the tap (but I have been very defensive in the code to prevent this).

Please retry when you feel comfortable/ it is convenient.

OK, worked this time and repeated trying to reproduce same conditions (I was in TM on the Tap Commander screen when it crashed.

Anyhow, results below. I don't understand what the device temperatures represent and why I don't have a disk temperature.

This is showing that the temperature is currently 27 degrees C (very good) and this equates to a normalised value of 116. The normalised worst value (94) therefore equates to 49 C (116+27-94) i.e. the disk is currently at 27C degrees and the hottest it has been is 49C.

You don't have a message about the disk temperature because the interpretation only includes this when the current disk temperature (or the worst temperature) is 60C or more.

Thanks, I think I follow that. I have a TV sitting on the Toppy, and try to leave as much vent as possible clear. With the hot summer we've had it seems as if I'm not causing a problem.

I have updated TopManager to v4.6.1 (this now looks for fsCheck reports in \ProgramFiles\Logs\ - fixes problem reported by anthony2l)

Note: I have set it so that users already on v4.6 won't be advised that the update exists (saves users updating for minor fixes)

The 'Raw Read Error Rate' and 'Hardware ECC Recovered' have increased from 102554291 since I first ran fsCheck on 25/09/2013, and the 'Seek Error Rate' has increased from 18557962: are these figures anything to be concerned about? The disk is the original one from May 2005.

That all looks fine - you can ignore the attributes you mentioned as these are "rates" (varying with time) rather than counts (indicated by the c in wprcos flags). Rates typically have a threshold and it this you need to focus on; the disk is sick if the value (or worst) is less than (or equal?) the threshold (Thr).

I see you don't have a signature. Suggest you post \ProgramFiles\Logs\MyInfo Log (please post in a new thread) and create a forum signature. You can use TopManager to help you do this.
