Short answer: [Us] seems to work well enough for ftpd-topfield (using "-X"), but Windows seems to need [Up] (maybe have both to cover all bases).

...which have different Bus/Device numbers, - but I don't think Windows lets you see those (Linux does, so you could connect all 4 to a single Linux system and be able to distinguish them easily there - but that's no good to you...)

Well my "spare" toppy is now working (Yaaay andyfras!) again, so I may have some time to experiment......
