I do see a start-up problem sometimes. I've never attributed it to inactive channels, but I may try the Sc patch in case that's it.

What I find is that starting the box and then leaving alone it for 10+ minutes will sometimes (maybe 20% of the time) cause it to lock up (no LED on front panel in response to remote). If I sit and wait while MyStuff loads such that I can then press Info or guide (or any other button) it seems to prevent any lockups.

I'm afraid that's very unscientific as it only ever locks up when I'm not watching... Rolling Eyes

I use MS to start my Toppy at 8am with an EPG search, and it is set to start on BBC3. I then get MS to leave it on that channel so that the disk spins down but the Toppy is still on. I've never had a problem with responsiveness, depsite starting on BBC3 for the past few years... Confused
