Hi

I have had a search and can see it's possible to convert a rec to a ts file but I can't find a solution the other way (ts to rec) is it possible, not too long winded and hopefully free?

Thanks

Mpeg Streamclip will do both, I believe.

I think VideoRedo does as well.

A .rec is an MPEG TS, but with a header. So "conversion" would be trivial (i.e. there is no change to the video/audio stream).
Why do you need to "convert"?

Well, I don't suppose that I do then. I have a recording from a Hummy HDR that my mum would like to see from her Toppy.
I know I can set it up and view from a computer with VLC but it would be much more enjoyable from the TV.

Thanks

Actually you will if you want to put it onto a Toppy.
