When I'm not logged in I see this (see below) , is the custom search thing supposed to be where it is?
It doesn't appear to be a hotlink either ?

found when viewing http://forum.toppy.org.uk/forum/index.php

Using Firefox 3.6.10 (latest)

I can see it when I am logged in. Firefox 3.6.10 too.

Whether or not you see it depends on which skin you're using. When you're not logged in, you're using the default skin.

See Nigel's thread (which was at the top of this sub-forum before you posted) about introducing it.

I'm just commenting on the odd positioning of the 'custom search' text, I presume it should be after the google box on the same line ?

Looks like a Firefox rendering issue to me. Wink

But looks OK in FF 3.6.10 here.

With FF 3.6.10 here the oddness depends on how wide the window is. The 'Google' and the 'Custom Search' move around in most odd ways!
- 'Custom Search' is always below 'Google', and may be at the start of the next line.
- As width is reduced, 'Google' will not fit and is moved down to the start of the next line.
- If the line is reduced further, the input box and 'Search' will not fit and are moved down to the start of the next line, but if 'Google' then fits on the top line it moves back!
- Smaller still, neither 'Search' or 'Google' fit on the top line, so they are both moved to the next line (with 'Custom search' underneath 'Google' as always.

Pehaps is logical, but can look odd!

Perhaps if the search button just had the 'Google' icon, and removed 'Custom Search' it would look and behave better?

When you hover over it you don't get a hand cursor - there is no link to the custom search box anyway, so it is just text at the moment. Nigel will fix it, I expect.

I'll see if I can find time to tinker with it; but hey, worse things happen at sea.
