Hi, I have very recently acquired a TF5800PVRt (Currys discontinued), and would be very interested in trying my hand at crafting TAPs - just to see what I can do.
My programming skills are a little (very) rusty - 8-bit micros BASIC and assembly, and some spreadsheet cell formulae of moderate complexity (I have of course seen Forth, Pascal, and early versions of C but not advanced past "hello world" in those).

The only thing is, I've joined this wagon as it's slowing, and many of the mentioned sources of TAPs and the Topfield development suite have expired links.
My PC can boot to Linux but I don't want to complicate the learning of TAP writing with a less familiar OS if that's avoidable.

Can anyone point me to the simplest method in Windows (XP32) of writing TAPs for which the tools are still available ? please Smile

Many thanks,

Norman.

Ignore the Topfield tools and follow the guide in the "sticky" at the top of this section of the forum.

thankyou for the reply EMJB.

That looks heavy-going. Something to psych myself into trying at some point.
